This role is responsible for building a connected governance community, driving membership growth and value, and representing the organisation across business, government and not-for-profit sectors. Acting as the senior local leader, you will work closely with Councils, Committees, members, partners and stakeholders, while providing enterprise leadership to local staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the principal management representative to State Councils, Committees and key external stakeholders
- Building trusted relationships with members and senior leaders to enhance engagement and drive growth
- Providing expert insight on governance matters at Board and executive level
- Supporting local strategies that increase market presence, revenue and impact
- Overseeing local events, partnerships and community engagement activities
- Ensuring strong governance, compliance and effective council operations
- Leading, influencing and aligning local teams with organisational values and strategy
- Senior leadership experience in a membership, professional services, education or governance-related organisation
- Deep understanding of governance principles and the ability to engage credibly with Boards and executives
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
- Commercially minded, strategic and outcomes-focused
- Comfortable operating as the public face of an organisation within a state or region
- Degree qualified in business, marketing or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
