EL1 Economic Trade Program Advisor
Support the implementation and delivery of international complex, multi-stakeholder programs
- Initial 12 month non ongoing contract with extension
- Overseas travel required
- NV2 security clearance required
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation and delivery of the Program by:
Coordination and governance
- Provide secretariat support, including convening and coordinating Committees and sub-committees
- Ensure effective planning, documentation, and follow-up of key meetings and decisions
- Lead stakeholder consultations, including reporting, feedback loops, and follow-up actions
- Maintain regular engagement with business, industry reference groups, and government counterparts
- Design and deliver targeted capacity building and training activities
- Provide technical assistance to address implementation gaps
- Support alignment across program streams and contribute to joint initiatives (e.g. scoping, shared engagement, coordinated communications)
- Identify and manage program risks, including environmental and social safeguards
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, standards, and fiduciary requirements
We are seeking a candidate with:
- Experience in trade, investment, and/or development policy, with leadership across complex, multi-stakeholder programs
- Strong program delivery and coordination experience, including secretariat functions
- Proven risk management and fiduciary oversight experience (e.g. due diligence, grants, contracting)
- Experience working on Australia–Southeast Asia trade and/or development initiatives (entrepreneurship or commerce experience highly regarded)
- Willingness and ability to undertake travel to Indonesia
