The Role
This APS6 opportunity will see you supporting WHS and wellbeing initiatives, alongside broader HR advisory responsibilities. Working closely with leadership you will help maintain and deliver safety, rehabilitation and wellbeing frameworks, while providing advice on complex HR matters.

You will be joining a small team based in Canberra who provide HR and WHS support to various National offices across Australia. This team enjoys what they do, don't mind a laugh, and foster positive culture and learning opportunities.

To be considered for this role you must have WHS/wellbeing experience within the APS (federal government).

Duties
  • Provide advice on WHS, wellbeing, performance, code of conduct and investigations
  • Support delivery of wellbeing and mental health strategies
  • Contribute to WHS systems, risk mitigation and safety initiatives
  • Manage a caseload of rehabilitation, performance and conduct matters
  • Respond to incident management and HR inbox queries
  • Support committee processes, reporting and HR program delivery
Skills and experience
  • Experience in APS HR, ideally with exposure to WHS and wellbeing frameworks
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, enterprise agreements and policies
  • Experience managing sensitive and complex casework
  • Resilience and sound judgement when handling confidential matters
