APS6 Senior Campaign Officer

We are seeking a Senior Communications/Campaign Officer (APS6) to join a high-performing campaigns team in a large, National department.
This position is available in Canberra or Melbourne, offered as a labour-hire contract until 30 June 2026 with possible extension. The role will focus on planning, delivering and evaluating evidence-based health campaigns across primary care and other priority health areas.
Duties:
- Develop and deliver communication strategies, campaigns and activities.
- Draft, edit and review campaign and communication materials.
- Manage budgets, procurement, and supplier deliverables.
- Provide reporting, contribute to campaign submissions, and manage approvals.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
Skills and Experience:
To be considered for this position you must have Government (state or federal) experience managing advertising campaigns and communications activities, OR, strong private sector experience delivering campaigns, specifically in the Health sector.
You will also bring demonstrated ability to write, edit and develop high-quality communication materials tailored to a variety of audiences and channels, with excellent attention to detail. Strong project management skills, including experience with budgets, procurement and managing external suppliers, are essential, as is the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
Success in this role will also rely on your proven capacity to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships, work collaboratively across teams, and contribute to a fast-paced, outcomes-focused environment.
