The Organisation:
Small federal government department, centrally located.

The Role:
This is an APS6 management accounting role that will be offered as a labour hire contract through to November 2026. There is the potential to extend for 3 months initially.

You’ll be supporting an experienced EL1 with all aspects of management accounting across both internal and external budgets.

Your role will support the EL1 to deliver:
  • Monthly management reporting packs
  • Budget development/management with internal business leaders
  • Costing of NPPs where necessary
  • CBMS maintenance
  • PAES development
The role is for an immediate start, and you must hold a baseline clearance to be considered for this role.

Your Skills and Experience:
The role would suit a high performing APS5, or seasoned APS6 with good communications skills and a willingness to engage with the wider organisation. It’s expected that you have worked in a government budgeting role in another APS/ACT gov dept. or in a finance business partner role.

Previous federal government experience is a must for this position. You must also hold a current Baseline security clearance and therefore be an Australia Citizen.
