The Department:
Centrally located fed. gov. dept.

The Role:
This is a permanent APS6 role where you will be working in the financial accounting team providing technical accounting support in the preparation of their EOM and EOFY departmental financial statements.

You’ll be reporting into a technically strong EL1, who built their career in public practice. They have a flexible management style and look to work with each person in their team as an individual in order to help them grow and achieve their professional goals.

The department also has a strong CFO that has a reputation for creating strong, inclusive cultures in the workplace.

The role is permanent and only available via an S26 transfer for someone who is already in the APS. They offer 2 days WFH per week.

Your Skills and Experience:
You are an experienced accountant with financial accounting experience from a commercial or government environment. This is a technical accounting role, you must be able to demonstrate your ability to drive and deliver financial statements at the APS6 level.

You must be an Australian Citizen, Baseline cleared and able to join via an S26 transfer.
