RSPCA ACT is seeking a Volunteer Program Coordinator to lead and coordinate their dedicated volunteer workforce. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the people who make their mission possible helping improve the lives of animals across the ACT.



About the Role

Every day is different. You'll recruit, train, support and engage volunteers while working alongside passionate teams across the organisation to deliver programs, events and community initiatives that truly make a difference.

Reporting to the Foster Care Program Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination and ongoing success of RSPCA ACT's volunteer program.



Your responsibilities will include:

• Recruiting, onboarding and coordinating volunteers across the organisation
• Developing volunteer role descriptions and recruitment campaigns
• Managing volunteer rosters, training and ongoing support
• Coordinating volunteer participation at community events and fundraising activities
• Maintaining volunteer communications and engagement initiatives
• Supporting volunteer recognition and appreciation programs
• Coordinating work experience placements
• Producing volunteer reports and maintaining accurate volunteer records
• Working closely with managers to ensure volunteers are effectively supported throughout the organisation
• Providing occasional support to the Foster Care Program Manager when required.

You'll bring:

• Experience coordinating volunteers, community programs or similar workforce initiatives
• Experience in recruitment, onboarding, training or human resources
• Strong administrative skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and database systems
• A positive, proactive and solutions-focused approach
