APS6/EL1 Procurement/Logistics Specialist – Long-Term Labour Hire

The Organisation:
Medium sized, centrally located government department.

The Role:
APS6/EL1 role working within a branch, operating as a procurement specialist. You’ll be the go-to person for all procurement, logistics and asset management related matters. The branch runs a number of projects and you’ll support them through the procurement, logistics, supply chain, and travel of specific assets and personal.

You’ll provide advice regarding CPRs, best practice, risk management and operational support.

As a part of your role, you’ll have regular reporting requirements concerning budget, expenditure, and other EOM reports.

The area undertakes very specific work, which requires discretion, speed of turnaround, and extensive stakeholder engagement.

The role will be available for an initial period of 12 months as a labour hire contract, with the potential to extend for 2 additional periods of 12 months.

Your Skills and Experience:
You must be cleared at the NV1 level to be eligible for this role. You must also hold the Cert IV in procurement and contracting, and have demonstrated experience of working at the APS6/EL1 level or equivalent in a procurement and logistics role.

Communication skills are key to this role as you will liaise across the entire Branch.
