Capital Recruit is supporting a Federal Government agency to recruit an experienced APS6 Program Secretariat to support a high-profile, enterprise-wide transformation program.



About the Opportunity


As the APS6 Program Secretariat, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality governance and secretariat services that support effective program delivery. Working closely with the Program Manager and senior stakeholders, you will coordinate governance meetings, manage documentation, maintain program records and contribute to program reporting and administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate governance meetings and prepare high-quality meeting papers and documentation.
  • Develop agendas, maintain forward work plans and coordinate meeting schedules.
  • Support program reporting, document preparation and administrative activities.
  • Assist with developing work schedules, timelines and tracking program deliverables.
  • Monitor and escalate program risks where appropriate.
  • Maintain calendars, governance registers and conflict of interest records.
  • Support onboarding and capability uplift of new program staff.
  • Assist with developing governance documentation, including Terms of Reference and operating procedures.


To be successful, you will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience providing secretariat, governance, program coordination or project support services within a complex environment.
  • Strong written communication skills, including preparing meeting papers, reports and formal minutes.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with project management tools.


Desirable:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Experience working within Federal Government or other public sector environments.
  • Minimum three years' experience in program administration, project coordination or governance.


Security Requirements Applicants must hold, or obtain:
  • Baseline Security Clearance
  • National Police Check
