APS6 Communications and Change Officer
Support a major government digital transformation program through change, communications and stakeholder engagement delivery. 3 month contract + ext

Working within a major digital transformation program, you will help internal staff, executives, industry and other stakeholders understand upcoming system changes, why they matter and how to prepare for them.
This is a fast-paced delivery role requiring someone who can quickly understand technical information, translate it into plain English and coordinate practical communication and change activities across multiple releases.
This is a 3 month contract based in Canberra with the possibility of extension.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and delivering communication and change management plans and materials.
- Preparing presentations, website content, newsletters, training materials and promotional content.
- Translating technical and digital information into clear, accessible content for different audiences.
- Supporting system releases through coordinated communications, engagement and change activities.
- Identifying stakeholder impacts, risks and communication requirements.
- Working closely with technical, delivery and program teams to maintain consistent messaging.
- Strong change management, communications and stakeholder engagement experience ideally in a government setting
- Demonstrated experience delivering communications within a digital transformation, technology or complex program environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical information into plain English.
- Experience developing communication plans, presentations, web content, newsletters or training materials.
- The ability to adapt quickly, work through ambiguity and remain effective in a fast-paced environment.
