The Agency:
Medium sized APS agency, centrally located in Canberra, with a forward thinking and innovative approach to all things HR, and FREE PARKING!

The Role:
The department are able to offer a 6-12 month non-ongoing contract or an ongoing s26 transfer for ongoing employees.

The APS6 Performance and Conduct Team Leader is responsible for:
  • Underperformance case management;
  • Conduct or grievance case management and engagement of external investigators, when required;
  • Leading and coordinating the annual performance development cycle;
  • providing expert guidance and education to managers on the performance cycle, effectively managing performance and under performance
  • supporting staff and managers through the grievance process.
The Ideal Candidate must have:
  • demonstrated experience managing underperformance and conduct/complaints
  • experience in a dedicated performance or conduct role or having worked in a HR BP role providing advice on these areas
  • confidence to guide and influence managers, at all level, in these complex processes
  • preferably experience doing these functions in an government environment (federal, state or local government)
  • located in Canberra or surrounding regions
  • MUST be an Australian Citizen  and eligible to obtain and maintain a baseline clearance
