The Role:
The Strategic Communications Specialist will work closely with senior directors and the Pacific Strategic Communications Section. The role involves developing and implementing a Communication Strategy, ensuring alignment with broader strategic communication priorities.
You will engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote consistent messaging across various platforms, including media and social media. The role requires drafting key communication products and supporting public diplomacy efforts.
This is an initial 6 month labour-hire opportunity with a further extension period up to 12 months. Substantive EL1’s seeking a temporary transfer are welcome to express interest.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a Communication Strategy/Plan
- Utilize media, social media, and public diplomacy tools for strategic communication.
- Monitor opportunities for strategic messaging at various events and forums.
- Provide technical communications advice and branding guidance.
- Design content for the webpage.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for consistent messaging.
- Draft public information materials and key communication products.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in strategic communications, media, or public relations.
- Strong writing and editing skills, especially for non-English speaking audiences.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and managing communications projects.
- Ability to work in a team and independently to meet tight deadlines.
