Organisation:
Growing consulting firm with a successful audit business line.  They are beating Big4 firms to contracts.  They have picked up significant contracts within the Federal Government and have developed a reputation for quality and consistency.

The Role:
This business has bucked the trend within consulting in the last 12 to 18 months.  The industry has seen redundancies, negative media attention, restructuring, and the federal government actively looking to rely less on firms.  Most consultancies have seen their workforce decline, through natural attrition, targeted restructuring, or the loss/lack of renewal of contracts.

Our client has not been the victim of these circumstances, and 2023/24 was their most successful year.  Internal audit has been their most reliable and profitable business line, and it continues to grow. 

They are looking to build their team by bringing in new consultants, senior consultants, and managers.  Their work is interesting, and they have delivered clients excellent results with:

• Annual performance statements
• Process and systems reviews
• Project and program assurance

They look for people who are thinkers and team players.  People who are keen to engage with clients and develop relationships.  They are centrally based, but you will often be working from client site across Canberra.

They are offering permanent roles and salaries that are competitive with the market, based on your experience.

Your Skills and Experience:
You need to hold a current security clearance, Baseline will suffice initially, but you will be sponsored to get a higher level clearance in order to support yourself and the business grow.

Your communication skills must be of a very high standard, and you must be comfortable liaising with people from all levels of a business.  You have already demonstrated your capability through one or a number of audit cycles and have exposure across internal audit and/or IT/systems audit.  Alternatively, you may have experience of consulting from a different business line such as CFO advisory, or management consulting, and you are looking for a career change. 
CA/CPA qualifications and/or IIA are highly desirable.
