Capital Recruit is excited to again partner with Vikings Group to recruit a Marketing Coordinator who’s ready to turn ideas into action. This is your chance to join a purpose-driven hospitality and community organisation that supports local sport, brings people together, and champions Canberra’s community spirit.
  
Working closely with the new Marketing & Community Engagement Manager, you’ll play a key role in creating engaging campaigns, coordinating promotions, and supporting digital content that connects with Vikings’ diverse audiences.
  
About the role:
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You’ll be writing copy, planning social posts, coordinating community events, and helping to deliver campaigns that drive engagement across Vikings’ venues. If you’re creative, organised, and confident juggling multiple projects, you’ll thrive in this environment.
  
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns and promotions
  • Create and schedule content for social media, email, and website updates
  • Support community events, sponsorships, and sports engagement initiatives
  • Develop engaging copy for digital and print materials
  • Coordinate marketing collateral with internal and external creative teams
  • Track campaign performance and provide regular reporting
  • Jump in and support broader team projects where needed
  
  
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who’s creative, collaborative, and community-minded, with a genuine passion for marketing and local engagement.
  
To be successful, you’ll bring:
  • 2+ years’ experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Strong copywriting skills and attention to detail
  • Experience using Meta Business Suite, social platforms, and Google Analytics
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive, proactive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Bonus points for experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Squarespace, WordPress or Salesforce
   
Salary & Benefits
  • $70K – $90K + super, depending on experience
