About the Role
As the Marketing & Community Engagement Manager, you’ll develop and execute innovative marketing strategies that enhance Vikings’ brand visibility, drive revenue, and foster lasting relationships with the Canberra community.
From managing high-impact campaigns to overseeing sponsorships and community programs, you’ll be at the heart of Vikings’ mission to connect people through sport, entertainment, and hospitality.
This is a full-time, permanent position, with some out-of-hours and weekend work required.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute marketing and engagement strategies to drive growth and brand visibility.
- Strengthen Vikings’ presence through local partnerships, sponsorships, and community events.
- Oversee digital marketing, content creation, and brand management across multiple platforms.
- Lead a small, talented team and collaborate with external media and creative partners.
- Analyse marketing performance and continuously refine strategies for impact.
We need someone who understands both marketing and community engagement, with a strong background in promotions, brand strategy, and stakeholder partnerships.
You’ll be a natural communicator, confident in balancing creative vision with business priorities, and passionate about the Canberra community.
Key requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in marketing, community engagement, or a related field.
- Strong background in digital marketing, content creation, and multi-channel campaigns.
- Experience in public relations, sponsorships, and community partnerships.
- Strong understanding of customer engagement tactics, brand management, and loyalty programs.
- Must be an Australian citizen with fluent English written skills.
- Driver’s license and access to a car (travel to venues as needed).
- Salary: $90K–$120K + super (depending on experience).
