Centrally located small Federal Government Department.
The Role:
This is an EL2 CFO position. You will be reporting directly into the COO and be responsible for all aspects of financial management in the Department. The role is as much about hands-on financial management as it is about strategic financial management.
The pressing challenges in the short-term will be BAU management of the finance area and the delivery of the EOFY process. As the CFO you will take the lead on budgeting matters and financial reporting, but will have an EL1 on each side to support you.
This role will be offered as a labour hire contract for at least 3 months and could be extended in line with the completion of the permanent round. It will start as soon as possible.
Your Skills and Experience:
To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate previous financial management experience from within a Federal Government environment, you must therefore be an Australian Citizen and hold at least a Baseline Clearance.
Your experience must be at the EL2 level from previous roles within the Federal Government space. Supervising and driving the performance of a small team is an important component of this role.
