The Department:
This agency plays a crucial role in supporting government initiatives through effective public communication. The branch provides strategic advice and develops communication plans that enhance public understanding of policies and programs. The work involves collaboration with various stakeholders to create media content, social media strategies, and public-facing materials that engage diverse audiences and support government objectives.

  
The Role:
As the EL1 (PAO3) you will lead a small team in developing and executing strategic communication plans. You will manage relationships with key stakeholders, oversee the creation of communication products, and coordinate approvals with policy teams.
  
This position is essential in delivering high-quality media, social, and web content, ensuring the success of public outreach initiatives.
  
Your duties will include:
  • Lead a team to develop, implement, and evaluate communication plans and strategies.
  • Manage communication products, including social media, web content, videos, and fact sheets.
  • Maintain relationships with policy areas, providing strategic communication advice.
  • Liaise with suppliers, review materials, and coordinate approval processes.
  • Ensure timely and quality delivery of communication projects.
  
This is a contract opportunity for 12 months and is not open to those via S26 transfer.
  
Your Skills and Experience:
To be considered for this position you must have –
  • Current baseline security clearance or higher
  • Proven experience in public affairs or communication roles.
  • Strong ability to lead teams and manage complex communication projects.
  • Experience in developing and executing communication strategies across multiple channels.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  
Government experience is preferred however not essential. As mentioned you must have a current clearance to be considered.
