Medium-sized federal government department, centrally located.
The Role:
We are looking for EL1 candidates with a strong track record in finance business partnering. This department is looking to develop their capacity in this function, and offer and enhanced levels of engagement to the business. You will work with the CFO on a mandate to develop processes and best practice for finance business partnering. It’s a great career builder for your resume. The BAU responsibilities will include:
- EOM and EOFY reporting
- Variance analysis and monthly management reporting packs
- WIP and other regular reporting and analysis on project financials
- Budget management advice and scenario planning
The role is available via an S26 permanent transfer, or 12 months non-ongoing contract. They are looking for someone who can engage at a senior level with clients, and have the technical ability to confidently collate, analyse and deliver financial advice. The area is fast moving and has developed a supportive culture and environment.
Your Skills and Experience:
You are an experienced professional with federal government accounting and business partnering experience at the APS6/EL1 level or equivalent.
Stakeholder engagement is one of your strengths and something that you thrive on. You’re comfortable and familiar with developing and delivering SOPs and policies.
You must be an Australian Citizen with a Baseline clearance to be able to start in this role.
