The Department:
This agency plays a pivotal role in supporting Australia’s efforts to combat serious financial crimes. It provides critical intelligence to safeguard national interests and collaborates with multiple international and domestic stakeholders.
  
  
The Role:
A new opportunity has been created for a Channel Specialist to join a growing external communications section, within an agency with big plans to grow. You will lead the management and optimisation of external communications across the website, social media and Salesforce (used for external emails and newsletters), whilst using analytics and data to form and drive your strategy.
  
This is a 12-month position with the possibility of extension. A permanent transfer may be offered.
  
  
Role Responsibilities:
  • Lead the management, strategy, and uplift of your specialist digital channel(s) (e.g., website, social media, email campaigns)
  • Implement existing channel enhancement activities and identify opportunities for innovation
  • Ensure all communications meet accessibility and style guidelines
  • Support BAU operations by managing channel schedulers, release calendars, and performance analytics
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to tailor content for each channel and provide best-practice advice
  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues and collaborate with external vendors on channel uplift initiatives
  
  
Your Skills and Experience:
You will have proven experience managing and optimising digital communication channels (e.g., GovCMS, social media, Salesforce). We are looking for someone who is adaptable, analytical, and skilled at using data (via Google Analytics) to drive improvements.
  
Ideally you will have excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences. To be considered you will need a solid understanding of government digital communication standards.
