APS6 Website Content Specialist
  • 12-month position + possible extension
  • Permanent transfer opportunity for permanent APS staff
  • Melbourne, Canberra or Brisbane location (CBD)
The Department:
You’ll be joining a small Government regulator, regulating financial and anti-counter terrorism across Australia, ensuring that more than 15,000 businesses across Australia remain compliant.
  
The Role:
A new opportunity has been created to join a small to medium federal government agency, with big plans to grow over the coming 12 months.
  
As an APS6 Web Content Specialist you will be responsible for a range of website management tasks across the agency, including internal and external facing websites.
  
This is a 12-month fixed term engagement, with the potential for extension and permanency. For current permanent APS6s, this position can be offered via a permanent transfer (S26).
  
Role Responsibilities:
  • Website publishing and governance, including managing the publishing process
  • Ensuring content is uploaded, organized and maintained
  • Analyze website performance and identify trends
  • Assist with the coordination of website projects
  
Your Skills and Experience:
  • To be considered for this position you must have demonstrated web content management experience, including a comprehensive understanding of web content standards, accessibility guidelines (such as WCAG), and government policies (e.g., Digital Standards, Style Guide, and Readability).
  • A solid understanding of publishing rules, file management (including multimedia assets), and website performance is crucial.
  
Additional skills:
  • Experience or a basic understanding of UX, testing, SEO, and other web-related skills would be a significant asset. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to learning and improving the web space in line with emerging trends and technologies.
