The Agency:
You’ll be joining a small regulator within the Agriculture portfolio, boasting great culture and flexible working arrangements.
  
  
The Role:
This is a new, diverse opportunity created to join a friendly, growing stakeholder engagement team in a small Agency. Working closely with the media and communications team, and supported by expert stakeholder engagement leaders, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of the stakeholder engagement plan.
  
This is an initial 6-month contract engagement and may be extended further. The office for this Agency is in Canberra City, however a remote working opportunity will be considered for those outside of Canberra.
  
  
Role Responsibilities:
  • Develop opportunities for researchers, policy makers, end users and other key stakeholders to understand progress made throughout year, find synergies across research, and to increase likelihood of science and knowledge being adopted and used by policy makers
  • Oversee development and delivery of the Communication Plan
  • Lead development and delivery of program representation at key events
  • Lead development of release strategies for research deliverables in partnership with research teams and Communication and Media teams
  
Your Skills and Experience:
You will be a strong team player, enjoy working with a wider range of people and have demonstrated experience in identifying and sharing key messages with varied audiences.  
  
Experience in communications and/or stakeholder engagement position is essential. Government experience is favourable, but not essential.
  
Experience in, or knowledge of, the Agricultural/farming/veterinary sector is highly desirable.
