APS6 Management Accountant – FBP and Internal Budgets

• 12 months non-ongoing
• Mix of internal budgeting and FBP
• 50% work from home

The Role:
The management accounting team offers a dual purpose to its internal stakeholders. In more of a traditional function, they perform the role of both internal budgets, and finance business partners.

The engage directly with business and program areas, assisting through the preparation of EOM actuals. They build, maintain, and report on variances to budgets, and actively support business/program/project managers to proactively manage budgetary compliance.

They also develop and report on the whole of department budgetary position, and provide a range of regular and ad hoc reporting to the CFO and other stakeholders.

They offer a clean split of 50% WFH and 50% work from the office and the central location make it accessible to most Canberrans. You'll be engaged as a 12 months non-ongoing employee with the potential for permanency in the future.

Your skills and experience:
Demonstrated experience in an FBP or internal budget role from the federal government. You must hold a current baseline security clearance (or higher). Excellent communication skills.
