The Department:
Large, federal government department with multiple locations.

The Role:
These roles are supporting the corporate functions of the department, and you will support all aspects of their finance including:

• EOM and EOFY reporting
• Variance analysis and monthly management reporting packs
• WIP and other regular reporting and analysis on project financials
• Budget management advice and scenario planning

The role has multiple stakeholders which will see you quickly develop an internal brand within the business area. You’ll directly engage with SES1 and 2s and will need to be confident in your ability to do this.

The role is available via an S26 permanent transfer, or 12 months non-ongoing contract. They are looking for someone who can engage at a senior level with clients, and have the technical ability to confidently collate, analyse and deliver financial advice. The area is fast moving and has developed a supportive culture and environment.

There is an APS6 and EL1 available within this team.

Your Skills and Experience:
You are an experienced professional with federal government accounting experience at the APS6/EL1 level or equivalent. Exposure to broad finance roles such as business partnering is highly regarded. Stakeholder engagement is one of your strengths and something that you thrive on. You’re comfortable and familiar with reviewing and assessing high risk, and high value procurements.

You must be an Australian Citizen with a Baseline clearance to be able to start in this role.
