The Role:
APS6/EL1 Cost Recovery and Revenue Assurance Officer. This role will be offered as a 12 months non-ongoing contract, or via a permanent s26 transfer. The role is based in the CFO group but not something suited to a traditional accountant.
The role involves liaison across different sections of the department. You will be speaking with leaders of the business units, providing advice to them on the CRIS – Cost Recovery Implementation Statements and any new arrangements relating to cost recovery activities. This will come in the form of regular reporting, briefings, cost model updates and policy reviews (position clarifications).
They have established cost models in place, so modelling components of this role are not about establishment, but more focused on maintenance and scenario planning.
The area can offer a genuine career path, and are keen to invest and develop you in this role and will provide strong training and support.
Your Skills and Experience:
You must be an Australian Citizen and hold a baseline to be considered for this role. You must also be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build professional relationships. Part of this role will be to work with policy and regulation, and help non-technical business leaders to understand how it works and their related responsibilities.
Excel is used to manage their cost models. You will not be expected to make large scale changes, but expertise in using vlookups and pivots and other advanced techniques is needed.
