The organisation
Capital Recruit are currently working with a small government agency to recruit an APS5 Secretariat Officer for a 6 month Non-ongoing. This is a fast paced environment that requires an individual with high-level administrative and stakeholder engagement skills; who operates at their best in a dynamic and quickly changing environment; contributes to team capability and culture; has strong attention to detail; and can manage multiple activities and competing priorities.

The role
As the Secretariat Officer you will:

  • Provide administrative support to the Authority Senior Secretariat Office
  • Book all travel for all committee members
  • Book and organises catering
  • Acquit credit cards and expenditure for the team
  • Print and collate meeting papers
  • Be responsible for meeting logistics (diary invites, room set up etc)
  • Act as back up support across the team for all committees
  • Coordinate monthly reports
  • Draft travel itineraries 
  • Research and provide information to committees
  •  
Skills & Experience
The successful applicant will be an experienced Secretariat Officer who has:
  • Proven experience as an APS4 Executive Assistant 
  • Clear and strong communication skills with strong interpersonal skills and be able to produce relevant timely correspondence in a clear understandable language.
  • Current police check 
  • Experience within a role that requires sound judgement and high levels of personal integrity, sensitivity, confidentiality, and discretion
