Small government department with programs that have a big reach.
The Role:
This is a 10 months non-ongoing contract as an EL2 deputy CFO. It’s only available via a non-ongoing engagement. Unfortunately, there is no scope for this to be a labour hire contract or permanent move.
You will be involved in all aspects of finance including EOM/EOFY statements, financial operations, internal and external budgets. They need someone that has more exposure in terms of internal budget management. They also have a systems upgrade on the cards next financial year – any experience in TechOne upgrades would make your profile more appealing for this role.
You’ll take on the management of a small team of finance professionals, they’ve enjoyed low turnover in recent times and have maintained a lot of IP within the team.
This role will be covering the incumbent who is acting in higher duties.
Your Skills and Experience:
To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate previous financial accounting and management accounting experience from within a Federal Government environment, you must therefore be an Australian Citizen and hold a Baseline clearance.
Experience of successful management and completion of budgeting cycles and budget processes coupled with professional qualifications (CA/CPA) will make you a front runner for this role. You must also be able to demonstrate your ability to lead a team.
